Who delivers your boat

He holds the Spanish Merchant Navy Patrón de Altura (offshore skipper) licence and the Mecánico Naval Mayor (chief marine engineer) qualification, and has worked in Mallorca's yachting sector for more than ten years as founder of Blue Mediterranean Yacht Charter.

That double qualification shows on every delivery: the person at the helm also understands what is happening in the engine room. We know the ports, boatyards and waters of the Balearics, and we treat every yacht as if it were our own.

What is Mallorca Yacht Delivery?

Mallorca Yacht Delivery is a boat delivery service based in Palma de Mallorca. A professional skipper, with a deckhand or marine engineer when needed, takes your motor yacht of 33 to 66 ft (10–20 m) from one port to another: between ports in Mallorca and between Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca.

How much does a yacht delivery in Mallorca cost?

Skipper fees are €250–300 per day for 33–46 ft (10–14 m) and €350–450 per day for 47–66 ft (15–20 m), plus VAT. As the crew is based on the island, a delivery between Mallorca ports is usually done in a single day. For example, Port d'Alcúdia → Palma with a 46 ft planing yacht costs about €405 + VAT, excluding fuel.

How much does it cost to deliver a boat from Ibiza to Mallorca?

Ibiza → Palma is about 74 nautical miles, 4 h 10 min at 18 knots. With a 46 ft yacht and skipper only it takes 2 days of service (travel to Ibiza and the passage) and costs about €770 + VAT. The other way round, Palma → Ibiza, is about €430 + VAT. Fuel is extra.

Do you deliver boats between Menorca and Mallorca?

Yes. Ciutadella → Palma is about 98 nm (5 h 30 min at 18 knots) and Mahón (Maó) → Palma about 113 nm. The shortest crossing is Ciutadella → Port d'Alcúdia, about 37 nm. Ciutadella → Palma with a 46 ft yacht costs about €795 + VAT, excluding fuel.

Do you deliver to or from mainland Spain?

Yes, on request. We focus on deliveries within the Balearics, but we also move boats to or from Barcelona (138 nm to Palma), Valencia (148) or Dénia (134). These are quoted case by case.

Who pays for fuel and berths?

The owner, at cost. Before departure we ask for a float of €1,000–2,500 for fuel and port fees, settled against receipts when the boat is delivered: we refund the balance or invoice the difference.

What happens if the weather is bad on departure day?

We don't leave. The skipper decides with official forecasts; between the islands we watch the tramontana in the Menorca channel and easterly or westerly winds between Ibiza and Mallorca. If the crew is already in port, each standby day is charged at 60% of the daily rate. With flexible dates we choose the window before travelling.

Is my boat insured during the delivery?

Third-party liability insurance is mandatory and fully comprehensive cover is strongly recommended. Check that your policy does not exclude cover when a hired professional is at the helm, and whether your insurer must be notified. We check it with you before confirming.

What qualifications does the skipper hold?

A Spanish professional offshore skipper licence (Patrón de Altura) with valid specialty certificates and medical. The founder, Toni, is also a chief marine engineer (Mecánico Naval Mayor) qualified by the Spanish Merchant Navy. For yachts over 66 ft (20 m) we assign a skipper experienced with larger yachts.

Who is behind Mallorca Yacht Delivery?

Toni, born in Palma, offshore skipper and chief marine engineer with more than ten years in Mallorca's yachting sector. He also founded Blue Mediterranean Yacht Charter, the company that operates the service.

Do you deliver foreign-flagged yachts?

Yes. We need the flag state's Certificate of Registry and an insurance policy valid in Spanish waters. The rest of the process is the same.

Can you take my boat to a cargo ship in Palma?

Yes, as an extra: we bring the yacht to the Palma quay where yacht transport ships load, or collect it at discharge and deliver it to your berth.

Tell us where your boat is. We'll deliver it.

Itemised quote with no obligation. We reply within 24 hours, including brokers and yards with several boats.
